The Community Service Committee is responsible for launching service projects that provide volunteer opportunities for members, collaborating with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chapter and their community service efforts, and updating members on service opportunities at UNC and in the community that they can get involved in.
The Criminal Justice Committee is responsible for creating awareness and promoting activism for the inequities in the criminal justice system. They can do this through hosting events/dialogues, organized protests, attending town halls, service projects, etc.
The Political Activism Committee is responsible for advocating for equal representation in government, UNC/National policy decisions, etc. In addition, the Political Activism Committee is responsible for promoting voter education & registration in marginalized communities. They do this through a variety of different avenues.
The Events Committee is responsible for scheduling NAACP Events that each committee proposes and adding it to an organized calendar. In addition, the Events Committee will keep an organized document of planned events and work with the executive board to host NAACP related events
The Social Committee is responsible for planning events centered around cultivating a community amongst the Black Student population at UNC. From study sessions, socials, and networking events , The Social Committee will develop ideas and lead events that foster inclusion, support, and community.
The Engagement Committee is responsible for managing the social media channels of the UNC NAACP, creating graphic design content for promotion, assisting with website updates, and recruiting new members to join the UNC NAACP.
